Chapter Eighty Nine

Lance pulled on some dark blue pants and a white shirt and checked his appearance in the mirror. He was going to meet Jenn in two hours, but he was stopping off at the hospital first.

He applied some gel into his hair and brushed his teeth. Grabbing some cologne, he sprayed some on, then ran down the stairs. JC and Sasha were sitting in the kitchen.

"Hey," Lance said, sitting down on the chair and pulling on some white socks. "Where are the others?"

"Justin went with Joey to go pick up some dinner and Chris is watching TV," Sasha replied. "Where are you going?"

"I'm meeting someone," Lance replied. "And visiting Eryn. I'll be back late."

"Have fun," Sasha said.

Lance grabbed bottled water from the fridge and walked into the hallway. "Can I take your car?"

"Sure, the keys are beside my wallet on the table," Sasha called.

"Thanks," Lance said, finding the keys. "See you guys tomorrow."

"Bye," JC replied. He heard the door slam and returned to the conversation with Sasha. "So what did you say after he told you that he loved you?"

"Nothing," Sasha admitted. "I really care for him, JC... and I was really upset. But deep down in my heart, it's saying, I love you, and no one else." Misery filled her eyes. "I don't know what to do."

"Me neither," she answered.

"Follow your heart," he said.

She smirked. If I followed my heart, I would be with you and Joey."

"Well, scratch that," JC said. He took her hand. "Sash, I will always love you, even if it's just friendship. Do you really like Joey?"

"A lot," she said.

"Well, don't make a mistake," he said.

She shook her head. "Joey and I will last. But I am always going to care for you."

JC smiled and nodded. "And me for you."

Justin and Joey walked in the door and JC dropped Sasha's hand. Justin walked in the room, holding a brown bag from McDonald's.

Sasha made a face. "Ew."

"What?" Justin asked.

"I don't really like it... unless you have a grilled chicken in there," Sasha said.

"Yes I do," Justin said with a grin. "But it's mine."

Lance sat beside Eryn and watched her slowly breathe. He put his hands over one of hers.

"Eryn, I just want to let you know that I am going out tonight with this girl, Jenn. You work with her, she's really nice. But she's just a friend, and I am bringing her dancing. The whole time, I am going to be thinking of you," he said. "I can't stay long, but I just wanted to tell you that I love you." He kissed her forehead and left the room.
