Chapter Seventy Nine

Lance ran back up the beach to where Eryn and Chris were. "Guys! You have to try surfing... it's so wicked."

"Shhh," Eryn said, putting a finger to her lips. "He's resting. I'm going to try it later."

"It's the best," Lance said. "When you go back out, I'll go too."

"Okay," Eryn agreed.

"Are Lance and Eryn together?" Justin asked JC, looking at them.

"I don't think so," JC said. "Why?"

"Just wondering," Justin said.

"No, really... Are you jealous or something?" JC asked.

"Jealous? No," Justin said.

"Oh," JC said, looking back at the magazine he was reading. "Are you sure?"

"Okay, I'm a little jealous," Justin said. "Not a lot..."

"That's okay," JC said. "You wouldn't even believe how jealous I am of Sasha and Joey."

"Really?" Justin asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Oh, yeah," JC said. "Really."

Sasha leaned back on Joey and stared at the blue sky above her. "Joey?" she murmured.

"Yeah?" he asked, looking down at her.

"Are you sure that you're not mad about JC and me being friends?" she asked.

"I'm sure," he said. "JC is one of my best friends. Don't worry about it."

"Okay," she said. "As long as you are okay with it."

"I am," Joey said.
