Chapter Fifty Nine

The phone rang early the next morning. Sasha leaned over and picked it up. "Hello?" she said, sleepily.

"Hey Sash," it was Joey.

"Joey, hey," she smiled. "What are you doing calling me at..." she looked at the clock. "Seven thirty?"

"Sorry, I couldn't get my mind off you," Joey said.

Sasha smiled as her heart melted. "I was thinking of you, too."

"You were sleeping!" Joey said.

"I was thinking of you before bed, and just when I woke up," she said.

"Sure," Joey said.

"I was!" Sasha insisted.

"Okay," he said. "Anyway, we are waking up Chris at eight thirty and bringing him to a nearby hospital. We don't know where the doctor's is."

"I hope he's alright," Sasha said.

"Are you mad at me?" Joey asked.

"No!" Sasha said. "Why would you think that?"

"You were a little... distant," he said. "Last night, I mean."

"No, no, no," Sasha said. "I am not mad at you."

"Good," Joey said, relieved. "I thought you were."

"No," Sasha said. "I'm not."

"Great," he said. "How is Eryn doing?"

"She's sleeping," Sasha said.

"But I just wanted to know about her and Justin/Lance thing," Joey said.

"Okay," Sasha said. "I guess."

"Come on, Sash," Joey said. "Is anything wrong?"

"Not really," Sasha said. "I am just worried about Chris, and Eryn's really down lately, and I never get to see you."

"I really miss you," Joey said.

"I miss you, too," Sasha said. "When am I going to see you again?"

"I don't know," Joey said. "With Chris being sick."

"It's okay," Sasha said. "You better go wake up Chris. Call me later, okay?"

"For sure," Joey said. "Bye, Sash."

"Bye." She answered, hanging up the phone.

Joey hung up and walked over to Chris's bunk. "Chris," he whispered. When he didn't move, he called him louder. "Chris!"

Chris stirred. Joey gently shook him. His eyes opened a little. "Hi," he said.

"Hey," Joey answered. "How are you feeling?"

"Worse," Chris said. "Let's go to the doctor, I have to find out what is wrong."

"Okay, I am going to call the others, and we will help you to the car," Joey said.

"Can I lay down in the back?" Chris asked.

"Sure," Joey said. He walked into the TV room where their manager, JC, Justin, and Lance were sitting. "Okay, guys. Chris is ready to go. But he wants to lay down, so who is all going to come?"

"Well, you are using my car, but I am putting you guys in a hotel tonight, so I have to take care of that," their manager said.

"I want to go," JC said. "Please."

"And I am definitely going," Joey said. "Is that okay?" he said to Justin and Lance.

Justin glanced at Lance. "I guess. We'll be in the hotel, anyway."

"Okay," Joey said. The five guys walked over and helped Chris into the backseat of the car, and then JC drove off to the hospital.

The manager turned to Lance and Justin. "Okay, we are going to the Best Western on the corner. The bus driver is jetting and we'll call him when we want him to meet us somewhere. I am leaving, to walk over to the hospital, because I have to find out what is wrong with Chris and cancel concerts and stuff. There are two rooms for you guys, so bring JC's, Joey's and Chris's stuff in the room, okay?"

"Okay," Justin said, and Lance agreed.

"Thanks," he said.
