Chapter Forty Eight

"So let me get this straight," Justin said. "You're cheating on me with my best friend?"

"I'm sorry, Justin," Eryn said, tears flowing down her cheeks. "I love you."

"I loved you, Eryn," Justin sneered. "That's over now."

"You're such a bitch," Lance said, "leading me on like that."

"Please, I never meant to hurt anyone," Eryn said. "It's just..."

"Just what?" Lance asked. "It's just I'm a whore?"

"Lance!" Justin said. "She's not a whore. More like a slut."

"Please," Eryn begged. "Stop doing this to me."

"You did it to yourself," Justin said. "You brought it all on yourself."

"You guys!" Eryn's voice was becoming shrill. "Please, give me a chance to explain."

"Okay," Lance said. "I'll explain for you. Let's see... you told me you liked me, while you were going out with Justin... you cheated on Justin... what else is there to say, Eryn?"

"I'm sorry," Eryn apologized again. "I am really sorry."

Justin laughed. "Are you really?"

"Yes," Eryn said, through tears. "I am."

"Fine," Lance said. "Prove it."

"How?" Eryn said. "How can I prove it?"

"Kiss me," Justin said.

"Kiss me," Lance said after.

"I can't kiss you both at the same time!" Eryn said, frustrated.

"She's right," Justin said to Lance. He turned back to Eryn. "Fine, kiss me first."

Eryn took a deep breath and kissed Justin. "There."

"Good, good," he said. "Kiss Lance."

Eryn kissed Lance. "There, are you happy? Are we all friends again?"

"Yeah, right!" Lance said. "It just shows how skanky you are for kissing us both."

"But you asked," Eryn said. "You wanted me to."

"Eryn, Eryn, Eryn," Justin said. "Figure it out."

"Figure what out? Was it a trap?" She asked.

Lance and Justin both looked at each other and laughed. "Of course," they said in unison.

"Oh, God, make it stop, MAKE IT STOP!" Eryn was shaking. "This has to be a dream."

"It's no dream," Justin said.

"Then why are you doing this to me?" Eryn asked.

"Eryn, we have a surprise for you," Justin said, ignoring her question.

"What is it?" Eryn asked, still crying.

"Look behind door number one!" Lance said. Suddenly the room turned into a studio, and Lance opened up a bright pink door with a large white number one.

Eryn gasped. "J-J-James?" she stammered.

"Righty-O, Eryn Tucker," James said, stepping out of the door way.

"There's more," Justin said.

"More?" Eryn asked. "I can't handle more."

"Too bad," Justin said, sarcastically. "Lansten, show her what's behind door number one."

"Thanks, Justin," he said in an announcer's voice. "Here he is." He opened to door.

"Oh, no," Eryn said, staring at Kevin.

"It's me," Kevin said, walking closer.

"Stop!" Eryn shouted. Kevin stopped walking.

"There's a door number three," Justin reminded the others. "There are ALWAYS three doors." He nodded at Lance and Lance swung open the door. It was empty.

"Empty?" Lance asked. "Justin... it's empty."

"Why is it empty?" Justin asked. "We lost our door number three?"

"I guess so," Lance shrugged.

"Wait," James walked over to the guys. "I have to admit something. I ate the person who was in door number three. Sorry."

"That's okay, man," Justin said. "It happens."

"Speaking of eating..." Lance looked over at Eryn. "I'm a little hungry."

"Come to think of it," Justin said. "I'm starving."

"I could go for dessert," James said.

"You know what I'm in the mood for?" Kevin asked.

"What?" asked James.

"Fresh, ground..."he looked over at Eryn and smiled mischievously. "... Eryn."

"Eryn?" Eryn cried. "That's me!"

"That's right," Justin said. "Your grand prize is... us eating you."

The four guys walked closer and closer. Eryn turned and tried to run.

"My feet! They are stuck in the ground!" Eryn said.

Justin shrugged and kept walking. "So?"

"So?! SO?! I should be able to run away," Eryn protested.

The guys reached her. "Should we let her go?" Lance asked.

"Yes!" Eryn said. "Please!"

"Nah," James said, grabbing her arm. He closed his teeth around her arm.
