Chapter Forty Six

"Hello?" Justin said, answering the phone.

"Justin!" Eryn exclaimed. "How are you?"

"Good," he said. "What about you?"

"Great, now that I am talking to you," Eryn said.

"I miss you," Justin said. "I really do."

"I miss you, too," she said. "Can you give Joey a message?"

"Sure."

"Can you tell him that Sasha and I are coming to the Buffalo concert," Eryn said.

"You are?" Justin said. "That's great. It's in the afternoon, so do you want to do something that night?"

"Um, yeah," she said. "Actually, I need to talk to you, but I can't do it over the phone."

"Is something wrong?" Justin asked immediately.

"Not really," Eryn lied. "I just need to talk to you really badly."

"Okay," Justin said, hesitating. "Are you sure nothing is wrong?"

"Yeah," she lied again. "Listen, you know, that whatever happens between us, ever, I'll always love you, okay?"

"I love you, too, Eryn," Justin said, "but I don't understand."

"Justin, no. Listen, I will always love you. No matter what happens. Ever. I am in love with you now, and I love you, and I always will," Eryn said, starting to panic.

"Eryn, tell me what's wrong!" Justin said. "I don't understand why you are doing this. Please."

"Justin," Eryn felt tears well up in her eyes. "I have to go now. But I love you, and I always will. Even if something horrible comes between us."

"Are you okay?" Justin asked, concerned.

"Yes!" Eryn exclaimed. "I have to go."

"I love you," Justin said.

"I love you, too," Eryn said. She heard Justin hang up the phone, and she laid back in bed, starting to cry.

Sasha walked into Eryn's room. "Eryn! What are you doing? I was calling you for dinner for the last ten minutes."

Eryn looked up. "Sorry," she said.

"Oh, no, have you been crying?" Sasha asked.

"Yeah," she said. "I am making myself sick, worrying about what Justin is going to say." She quickly filled in Sasha about her conversation with Justin.

"Oh, Eryn, I feel so bad for you," Sasha said. "But, I did make pizza... it might cheer you up."

Eryn smiled. "Thanks," she said.

They walked downstairs to the kitchen.
