Chapter Thirty Five
Sasha woke up and looked at her glowing alarm clock. It was five minutes after eleven. Eryn was already up, she noticed. She put on her robe, and walked downstairs. She passed Justin and Eryn eating breakfast in the living room. She said hi, and walked to the kitchen.
"Good morning," she said, as she walked in the kitchen. Everyone was there except for Lance. "Where's Lance?"
"Not up yet," Joey answered.
"Okay," she said. She poured herself some Life cereal and looked up. The milk was right in front of JC.
"JC, can you please pass the milk?" Sasha asked.
JC looked up, and back down at the newspaper he was reading. "There is some milk right in front of you."
"That's 2%, I only drink skim," Sasha replied.
"You should," JC muttered.
"What did you say?" asked Sasha.
"Nothing," JC faked a smiled and passed her the milk. "Here you go."
"Thanks," she said, glaring at JC and taking the milk.
"Okay," Chris said. "That's enough. I mean, just because you broke up, doesn't mean you have to fight."
"It wasn't Sasha's fault," Joey said.
"Thank you, Joey," Sasha smiled at him.
Joey smiled back.
"Don't get involved," JC answered.
"Sorry," Joey muttered.
"Everyone just shut up!" Chris yelled. "All of you just bitch and everything all the time around here. Just shut up!"
Everyone sat there in awe. "Sorry, Chris," Sasha said.
"Yeah, me too," JC told him.
"That's okay. I'm just getting annoyed," Chris said. The phone rang.
Sasha walked over to the phone. "Hello?"
"Hey, this is the agent of the boys. Sasha?"
"Yeah," Sasha said. "Who do you want to talk to?"
"Doesn't matter," the agent answered. "Who ever is closest."
Sasha turned around and Chris was sitting in the nearest chair. "Chris, it's your agent."
Chris swallowed his mouthful of cereal and took the phone. "Hello?"
"Hey, Chris," the agent said. "How are you?"
"Good," Chris answered.
"How are the rest of the boys?" he asked.
"Good," Chris replied. "Except Justin got the crap beat out of him. It's a long story."
"Okay, whatever. Listen, I was talking to the owner of the big Sam the Record Man on Yonge Street. Do you know where that is?"
"Yeah, the girls probably do," Chris answered.
"Well, he told me he wanted two of you there to sign things. I asked him who, and he said it didn't matter. So tomorrow morning, at nine, can you be there? The signing is at 10, but I need you to talk to Ralph. He's the owner. It doesn't matter who shows, as long as there are two of you, okay?"
"Okay," Chris said. "I'll pass the word."
"Thanks," the agent said. "I will be there too. Actually, I have a better idea. I will come to Sasha's house tomorrow at five to nine, okay? And two of you better be ready. What's the street?"
Chris told him the street.
"I know where that is," he said. "Great. See you tomorrow."
"Bye," Chris said, hanging up the phone.
Chris turned around to see the group watching him. Eryn and Justin were sitting there too. "How are you, Justin?"
"Better," he said. "It just hurts a little."
"Okay," Chris said. "Well, that was our beloved agent, and he needs two of us at the Sam's down on Yonge tomorrow to do some signing. It's at 9 in the morning and he only needs two. Who wants to go?"
"Well," Justin said. "I would go, but I don't really think it's a good idea."
"I don't either," Chris said. "Okay, Justin's out."
"I don't want to go," Lance said. "I need to think about things." He glanced over at Eryn, who caught his eyes. He quickly looked away.
"I'll go," JC said. "Anything to get out of here."
"Will you stop?!" Sasha exclaimed. "I'm sick of that! Damn, JC, you're acting like you aren't as bad as I am, okay? Get it through your head. We broke up. I don't want to fight with you. So leave me the hell alone! I'm going through enough right now." She pushed back in her chair, and stood up. "JC, you're twenty three, but you're acting like you're five." She stalked out of the room.
"Well," Chris said. "I hate to agree with Sasha, JC, but..."
"Shut up," JC said. "I'm going to the damn signing okay?"
"Okay," Chris said. "Joey do you want to go?"
"Not really," Joey admitted. "This is my break. I'm not in the mood for fans."
"Okay," Chris said. "Well, JC, it's me and you."
"Okay," JC said. "Listen guys... I'm sorry. Sasha's right. I am acting like an idiot. Sorry... just ignore me, okay?"
"It's okay," Justin said. "I sort of know how you feel."
"Yeah, JC," Joey said. "We all have girl troubles. Don't worry about it man."
"Yeah, sorry I keep on flipping out," Chris apologized.
"Well, it doesn't matter," JC said. "Let's forget it."
"Okay," Chris said. "Good idea."
