Chapter Twenty
"What did you say?" Sasha whispered.
JC turned red. "Nothing," he mumbled.
"Tell me, JC," Sasha said.
He looked away, and mumbled, "I'm always honest when I am in love."
Sasha was sure she heard him right. "You're in love?" Tears sprung to her eyes.
"Yeah," JC admitted. "With you."
Sasha fell to her knees, and started to cry.

Lance called Eryn.
"Hey," she said, when she heard his voice. They had talked a couple hours earlier, but he wanted to talk to her again.
"Eryn, I have to tell you… after this concert, we are going to have a six month break! Our agent says we have too much stress."
"Really?" Eryn said. "That's fantastic!"
"Yeah, and I wanted to tell you something else," Lance quickly explained to Eryn that they couldn't all get back to Orlando. "So I was wondering…"
"Oh, of course you can stay with me!" Eryn said.
"That's what I was going to ask," Lance said. "Just, you know, as friends. And I am sure Sasha and JC will come too. They weren't talking really today, though. I don't know why."
"I am sure it was a petty fight," Eryn replied. "Where are Chris, Joey and Justin staying?"
"Well, I heard Joey saying that he needs a break. He told us today, that he knows everything that is going on. He called us all in a room."
"He knows about us?" Eryn said. "I mean, how we talk and stuff?"
"Yeah, he told me he wouldn't say anything," Lance answered.
"That's good," Eryn said. "He's probably just overwhelmed. I would want to take a break if I were him, too."
"Yeah," Lance agreed. "Hold on, there's another call."
"Sure," Eryn said.
Lance clicked over. "Hello?"
"Hello, this is your agent. Lance?" he asked.
"Yeah," Lance said.
"I just want to tell you, that due to demand of the media, you're six month break has turned into one month," he said.
"ONE MONTH?" Lance exclaimed. "Fine, I'll tell the others. Is there a concert tonight?"
"Yeah," the agent said. "Sorry about this."
"It's okay," Lance sighed. "Bye," he clicked over.
"Hey," Lance said, to Eryn.
"Hello again," Eryn said.
He told her about his and the agent's conversation.
"That sucks," Eryn said. "Someone just knocked on my door. I've got the cordless, so you can just come with me."
"I don't have a choice," Lance said.
"I know," Eryn answered. There was a clunk.
"Hello?" Lance asked. "Eryn?"
"Yeah, yeah," Eryn said. "I am here. It's just…" she paused. "Nothing. It's just nothing." She knew he probably knew she was lying.
"Eryn, what is it?" Lance asked, concerned.
"There's an envelope, and I am just reading it. Someone taped it to my door." Eryn answered.
"What does it say?" Lance asked.
"It just says, I'm coming to get you. See you soon." Eryn answered. "It's probably from James. Or Kevin."
"Who are they?" Lance asked.
"I think I might have told you," Eryn said, but she quickly explained to him anyway. "I'm not worried, though."
"Well, I'll be there in a month to protect you," Lance said. "Anyway, I have to go tell the others about the change and get ready for the concert."
"Alright, talk to you later," Eryn said.
"Bye," Lance answered, and hung up.

Eryn didn't know what to do. The letter had been frightening, but she couldn't tell Lance, he would get too worried. Not knowing what to do, she logged onto the computer.
I haven't been on this thing since, well, Justin, Eryn thought as she logged into her email.
New Messages: 117
Eryn clicked on Inbox, and scrolled down. One hundred and seventeen of the one hundred and seventeen messages were from Justin.
She scanned the subjects. Most of them said things like I'm sorry, or Please email me back. One specific one caught her eye. Here is a picture of Madeline. She clicked on it, and read the brief email.
Eryn-
I know you probably won't even get this, or any of the other emails I sent you. But this email is different. I don't know if you remember why we broke up in the first place. But I do. It's been haunting me ever since.
Eryn, you looked exactly like Madeline, and I thought, me being in denial, that I was with you to ease my pain. I was wrong. I was with you because I really, really liked you. A lot. And then I messed up the whole damn thing. Here is a picture of Madeline, just to show you that you two really did look a lot alike.
I know it's not mutual, but…
Love Justin
Eryn waited for her computer to load the image. When it finally did, she gasped. Justin was right. It was like looking in a mirror. Same hair colour and style. Same eye shape and colour. It was uncanny.
Finally, Eryn felt something she hadn't felt in a long time. Sympathy. For Justin and for herself.
Leaning back in her chair, she began to read every single email that Justin sent her. All of the next one hundred and sixteen.
