Chapter Fifteen

 ***A Month Later***

Sasha hung up the phone. Her conversations with JC were getting better and better. She had talked to him everyday, but not seen him since the concert.

"Talking to JC?" Eryn asked, coming in the room.

"Yeah, we just finished," Sasha looked at her friend closely. "When are you going to stop sulking about Justin?"

"I am NOT sulking," Eryn said, stubbornly. "We just grew apart."

"No, you decided not to get back with him," Sasha said. "You know I'm right, so let's not talk about it."

"Okay, good," Eryn said.

"I have to ask you something though. About JC." Sasha said.

"What?" Eryn said. "Even though we aren't going to talk about this."

"Well, JC invited me on tour with them… I would only be gone a month… would you mind?" Sasha asked.

"No," Eryn said. "I know you like him and stuff."

"It's just they are coming to the town about 100 kilometers away… and they would pick me up, then they are coming here, and I can be dropped off." Sasha said. "I know it's last minute and stuff, but…"

"No, it's okay," Eryn said, forcing a smile.

"Well, you can come," Sasha said. "They said you can."

"Sorry, I would rather stay home," Eryn said. "It's not like James is going to come back, or Kevin for that matter. I'm fine. I'm almost eighteen. Just go. See you in a month."

"If you're okay with it…" Sasha started to say.

"I am! Don't worry," Eryn smiled. "Have fun."

Sasha hugged her, "I will," she said, and held up a suitcase. There are going to be here any minute."

"Already? Okay," Eryn said. "Bye."

A horn honked outside, and Sasha ran outside. Eryn sat on the couch. She couldn't believe Sasha just deserted her! But she really did like JC… oh well.

"There's nothing I can do, now," Eryn said. She turned on the TV, and changed to channel 29, Much Music. It was the countdown.

"Good," Eryn said. "It will get my mind of things."

Number 13 was All Star by Smash Mouth. Number 4 was Why Don't You Get A Job by The Offspring.

"Here's number one, people!" The VJ said.

All of a sudden, Justin's face filled the screen.

"Oh, God…" Eryn said. She turned off the TV.

"I wish I had never met Justin," Eryn said. "He's made a mess of my life. And now I am talking to myself." Turning back on the television, she put on Change of Heart, and eventually fell asleep.

Eryn was walking down a hall way. It was empty, and it looked like a school or something of the sort. She looked in a room. There was a man jumping on the walls. She looked in another. There was a women trying to bite herself. I'm in an insane asylum, she thought. She looked in another room. There was Joey, dancing like a ballerina. There was the other three, playing in the corner. And there was Justin, crying, looking at her through the door.

Eryn awoke with a start. She had been dreaming. And it seemed so real.

I need someone to talk to, someone to spill my emotions too. She thought to herself. I can't keep on living like this.

She thought about her options whom to call. Calling her mother would cost too much. Sasha only had time for JC. She wouldn't talk to Justin. Kevin and James were definitely out of the picture. Suddenly it came to her. Someone caring, someone who was always there. Someone who would listen to all her problems.

She picked up the phone and dialed.
